Since 2008, we have sat with Northern California families at their hardest moments — thousands of assessments, thousands of first conversations that began with worry and ended with a plan. Everything we believe, we learned at those tables.

We become the first company in the United States to fully adopt the Montessori Method — engagement built around what each person can still do and love, not what they've lost.

After eighteen years of hearing the same wish at every kitchen table, we rename the company after it: Live and Stay.
The birth of our name
“I want to live at home. I want to stay in my own home.”
At nearly every one of those kitchen tables, at some point, the elder says the same thing. Never in industry language — no one has ever told us, “I wish to age in place.” They say it plainly, in their own words, almost word for word, every time.
Two small verbs. Over and over. For eighteen years. Live. Stay.
When the time came to choose the name that would carry our work forward, we realized the name had already been written — spoken aloud, at a thousand kitchen tables, by the very people we exist to serve. We didn't need to invent it. We only needed to write it down.
Behind every family's search for care is a fear they rarely say out loud: that these two wishes are in conflict — that to keep truly living, Mom will have to leave home, or that staying home means slowly giving up on living. Families believe they must choose.
The and is our answer to that fear. You don't have to choose. Live fully and stay home. That little word carries the whole promise — which is why, in our logo, it is set apart in gold. It isn't decoration. It's the thesis.
What we believe
Home is wherever her life is.
A family house, an apartment, a residence in a community — the promise is the same in every setting: growing needs are met by bringing more care to her, never by moving her away from her life.
Care meets people where they are.
The Montessori Method taught us to build every day around what a person can still do and love. Engagement, dignity, and purpose are not extras — they are the care.

A new name. The same hands.
For eighteen years you knew us as Geriatric Care Solution. In 2026 we became Live and Stay — a name taken from our clients' own words, because “geriatric” is how the industry talks, and we would rather speak the way families do.
Nothing else changed: the same owner, the same license, the same caregivers, the same Montessori method, the same standards. We simply stopped calling ourselves by the industry's words and started calling ourselves by our clients'.
